We always think that we have to get to a yoga clas We always think that we have to get to a yoga class🧘🏻‍♀️or find a quiet space to sit or lay down in meditation for 10, 20 or 45 minutes in order to reap the benefits of mindfulness and self-compassion. That’s hard for many busy people. But research shows that micro moments of slow deep breathing with a self compassionate intention or gesture, *practiced daily*, has huge benefits for overall mental well-being. And on top of that research from the HearthMath Institute shows that you can do this practice with your eyes open 👀 …and you should! Because we that’s how engage, converse, and walk around in the world. 🚶🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ See if you can cultivate an orientation of mindful-self compassion (breath + ♥️) for 30 to 60 seconds at least once a day. Easy peasey. Even for the perfectionist.
